  1. Indications for Use.

Used for treatment of backward failure of heart, arterial hypertension (combined treatment or mono therapy), cardiomyopathy, dysfunction of left ventricle for patients with consistent health conditions after having had diabetic neuropathy on the background of type I diabetes and myocardial infarction.

  1. Action

Captopril has the ability to lower the overall peripheral vascular resistance and lower the afterload and preload. The medication has the ability to lower tension in lesser circulation and in the right atrium. Captopril lowers the general resistance of peripheral vascular system.

  1. Posology and Administration

If a patient has hypertension of arteries Captopril should be used in doses from 12.5 to 50mg administered 2-3 times per day. Side effects on respiratory system: labored breath, bronchospasm, unproductive dry cough.
