3. Indications for Use.
Has effect of enhancing tonus of muscles with:
- diseases of spinal cord;
- cerebrospinal sclerosis,
- insult;
- meningitis;
- infantile cerebral paralysis;
- alcoholism;
- brain injuries.

4. Action
The medication has the ability to reduce skeleton muscles tonus by decreasing strains of muscles. Has the analgesic effect.

5. Posology and Administration
Medication should be taken orally with meals. If you miss a dose, it is better to skip the missed dose, instead of doubling it.

For treatment of adult patients the medication should be taken in dose of half a 10mg tablet (5mg 3 times per day). It is allowed to increase the dose gradually at an interval of at least 3 days until reaching the best effect from treatment. Usual daily dose is 30-75mg per day. If a patient requires larger dose of Baclofen for treatment, for example, up to 75 or 100mg per day, it is more convenient to use 25mg tablets. When using medication for treatment of elderly people, it is necessary to be aware, that it can cause more serious side effects, especially when increasing the dose. It is not allowed to take more than 100mg per day.

When using medication for treatment of children, start with 5mg pills (half a 10mg tablet) taken 3 times per day. The dose can be gradually increased, if necessary over a period of three days. Usually doses for children depend on their age: age 1-2 years � 10-20m per day, age 2-6 years � 20-30mg per day, age 6-10 years � 30-60mg per day. Children above the age of 10 years can use maximal dose of 1.5-2.0 mg per one kilo of weight of body.

7. Should Be Taken with Precautions, if…
- disturbances of kidney functions,

8. Interface with Other Medications
The medication has the ability to enhance the effect from medications, which influence the nervous system, ethanol and hypotensive medications. Lowering of muscle tonus can be increased by tricyclic antidepressants, while cardidopa and levodopa are able to increase the chances of development of mental confusion, hallucinations and excitement. It is better for a patient to inform the doctor about using these medications.

9. Overdosing
Symptoms of getting overdosed include: muscle hypotension, mental confusion, suppression of respiratory center, hallucinations, coma. Treatment of these symptoms: diuretics, abundant drinking, in case of suppression of respiration – artificial ventilation of lungs.

10. Side Effects
- dizziness, sleepiness, gait disorder, mental confusion, undue fatigability, apathy, depression, euphoria, paresthesia, tremor, ataxia, nystagmus, hallucinations, pares of accommodation, loss of myoclonic threshold, convulsions;
- vomiting, nausea, dry mouth, diarrhea, retention of feces;
- dysuria, retention of urine, enuresis, when medication is used for a long time – disruption of kidney functioning;
- arterial hypotension;
- muscle weakening, myalgia.

11. Pregnancy and Lactation
The medication can only be used during pregnancy in case if the expected positive outcome is more significant than the risk for fetus. It is not recommended to breast-feed during treatment.

12. Driving
The drug should not be taken by people, whose professional activities involve vehicle driving and operation of mechanisms.

Indications for Use.

• Carisoprodol is used in combination with physiotherapy and relax therapy for treatment of different muscle injuries and lesions.

• Carisoprodol can be also used for treatment of other conditions, not mentioned here.

Action.

Carisoprodol has a muscle relaxing effect. It works by conditioning blockade of pain feeling or nervous impulses, which are sent to the brain.

Posology and Administration.

The medication should be taken exactly as recommended by a doctor. If you have any questions about intake of the medication, consult your doctor or medical professional.

• Each dose of Carisoprodol should be taken with a glass of water.

• Allowed daily dose of Carisoprodol is maximum 4 tablets (1400mg).

Counterindications.

• antihistamine medications, such as chlorpheniramine (Teldrin, Chlor-Trimeton, others), brompherine (Bromfed, Dimetane, others), clemastine (Tavist), asatadin (Optimine) and many others;

• narcotic pain reliefs (remedies), including morphine (MSIR, MS COntin, others), meperedine (Demerol), propoxiphene (Darvocet, Darvon), oxicodone (Percodan, Percocet), hydrocodone (Vicodin, Lorcet), codein (Fioricet, Fiorinal, Tylenol No.3, and others), phentanyl (Duragesic);

• sedative drugs including amobarbital (Amytal), phenobarbital (Luminal, Solfoton), and secobarbital (Seconal);

• phenotiazines, including fluphenazine (Prolixin), chlorpromazine (Thorazine), perfenazin (Trilafon), mezoridaxine (Serentil), proclorpemazine (Compazine), trifluoperazine (Stelazine), and tioridazine (Mellaril); or

• antidepressants including imipramint (Tofranil), doxepin (Sinequan), fluoxetine (Prozac), nortriptyline (Pamelor), certralin (Zoloft), paroxetine (Paxil), tranilcipromin (Parnate) and phenelzin (Nardil).

• Carisoprodol has the ability to interact with some other medications, which are not mentioned here. Consult your doctor, if you are taking any other medications, including those, prescribed by a doctor.

Overdosing.

In case of getting overdosed on Carisoprodol, there is a chance for manifestations, such as meak breathing, low blood tension (tiredness, weakness, mental confusion) and faintness.

Side Effects.

The use of medication should be stopped immediately, if you have any of the described side effects in serious manifestations:

• tremor or agitation.

• depression;

• insomnia.

Pregnancy and Lactation.

• It is unknown, if the medication can be harmful to the development of fetus. The medication is not recommended for intake during pregnancy.

Driving.

Caution is necessary, when driving automobiles or operating industrial machinery and performing activities, which require alertness, when treated with Carisoprodol.
