3. Indications for Use.
Used for treatment of duodenal and gastric ulcers.
Treatment of reflux disease of gastro-esophageal.
Treatment of Indomethacyn, Aspirin and Dyclofenac induced ulcers of gastritis.
For pretention of backsets of duodenal or gastric ulcers in the group of risk as a result of treatment with Indomethacyn, Aspirin or Dyclofenac.

The medication lowers the secretion of glands in stomach.
5. Posology and Administration
The medicine should be taken orally. Pills should be swallowed wholly without chewing or crushing, with some amount of water. Do not break the pill before swallowing.
The medication is developed for treatment of adults and children at age 12 and older.
For treatment of reflux disease of gastro-esophageal
Treatment of reflux-esophagitis in erosive form: 40 mg should be taken one time a day for 4 weeks.
Another 4-week course can be added, I the first one didn�t show any healing effects of esophagitis and if the symptoms continue to appear.
Can be used in the dose of 20mg per day as a long-term supportive therapy for treatment of reflux-esophagitis in erosive form and for backsets prevention.
For symptomatic therapy of patients with esophagitis the medication can be used once a day in the amount of 20mg. IN case if symptoms stay after 4 weeks of treatment, it is required to perform additional patient�s health assessment. If symptoms go away, it is allowed to take the medication some more time if necessary. In case of rebound Nexium should be taken in the amount of 20 mg per day.
6. Counterindications
Extreme sensitivity to Esomeprazole, other components of the medication, substituted benzimidazoles. The drug should not be used for treatment of kinds under 12 years old.

There are few experiences of Nexium use for treatment of patients with serious failure of kidney.
