Indications for Use.

Failure of heart functioning, secondary hypertension, hypertensive disease.

Action

The medication works by lowering the resistance of peripheral vascular system.

Posology and Administration

The medication is designed for oral intake. The starting dose for treatment of adult patients is from 5 to 10mg and should be taken in single-shot. The dose should then be gradually increased until the desired effect is reached. The general dose for supporting therapy is 20-40mg with the highest allowed daily dose of 80mg.

Counterindications

Angiodema, systematic scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus, hypersensitivity, cerebrovascular failure, renal graft, renal arteries stenosis, a single kidney, marrow bone hypoplasia compromised function of liver and kidney.

Should Be Taken with Precautions, if…

Should be taken with caution for treatment of patients, who hace diabetes, compromised functioning of kidney, evidenced cerebral or coronary atherosclerosis.

Interface with Other Medications

It is not recommended to combine Benazepril with other medications until doctor�s consultation. Combination of Benazepril with other drugs may cause undesirable side effects.

Overdosing

There are no information about getting overdosed. In case of getting overdosed it is likely that the side effects will. Be manifested and seriously enhanced.

Side Effects

Furring on the tongue, dry coughing, hypotension, throat tonsils, chest pains, light tremors of lips and limbs, dry cough, labored respiration, pancreatitis attacks, hyperirritability, reactions of allergies (joints pain, cutaneous eruptions, angiodema).

Pregnancy and Lactation

It is not allowed to use medication in the period of pregnancy. Use of Benazepril during the lactation and breast-feeding period is not adviced.
