Pantoprazole
- Indications for Use.
Used for treatment of gastroesophageal reflux, duodenal ulcer, erosive esophagitis, disease of constitutional mast cell, gastric acidity hyperacidity in case of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and plural endocrine neoplasia.
- Action
Pantoprazole works by reducing the acidity level in stomach. Pantoprazole has activity of a proper anti-bacterial substance against Helicobacter pylori.
- Posology and Administration
Administration of Pantoprazole should be defined individually.
The average daily therapeutic dose should be 40mg. Highest allowed daily dose � 80mg. The course of treatment should not be more than 8 weeks and the length should be determined individually.
- Counterindications
— gastrointestinal tract malignant diseases;
— neurotic origin dyspepsia;
— childhood (as there is no information about pediatric use of this medication);
— hypersensitivity to the active ingredient.
