3. Indications for Use.
Used to stop attacks of migraine with or without aura.
4. Action
Medicine has an anti-migraine action, the performance of which starts in half an hour after taking the drug.
5. Posology and Administration
The medication should be taken orally in the dose of 10mg in single-shot. If after stopping of the first attack the headache resumes, it is allowed to take Rizatriptan for the second time. Dose for 24 hours should be not more than 30mg with an interval of at least 2 hours between intakes.
Rizatriptan is recommended for single-shot use in the dose of 5mg and with maximum of 15 mg per 24 hours for treatment of patients, who are simultaneously taking Propranol.
It has not yet been studied, if the second intake has efficiency in stopping the same attack, which was not stopped by the first intake.
6. Counterindications
Combination of therapy after not less than two weeks of the end of treatment with MAO inhibitors, coronary insufficiency, elevated arterial tension, myocardial infarction, evidenced painless myocardial ischemia, Princemetal stenocardia, hemigenic and basilar migraine. For treatment of patients with hypersensitivity to Rizatriptan or those under 18 years of age.

8. Interface with Other Medications
Taking Rizatriptan medication simultaneously with other kinds of medicines can cause serious post-effects. If you have been treated with some medication less than two hours before starting Rizatriptan therapy, inform your doctor about compatibility of the drugs and combination of their use, possibility of dose changes.
9. Overdosing

10. Side Effects
Possible side effects include:
Weakness, dizziness, undue fatigability, drowsiness, chest pain, stomach pain, heartbeat, vomiting, nausea, tachycardia, dryness of mouth, upset digestion, diarrhea, thirst; rigidity, pain in neck, constrained movements, sensations of creeping and tingling, headache, bizarre unprompted benumbed sensation, lowering of mental activity, tremors, insomnia, coordination loss, hypersensitivity of skin to different irritators, anxiety, discomfort in throat, disorientation, panting, itching and hyperemia of skin; excessive sweating, facial flushes, vision nebulosity.
Rare:
AT increase, faintness.
11. Pregnancy and Lactation
There have been to sufficient or well-controlled tests done about the safety of use of Rizatriptan in the period pregnancy, therefore it should only be used in case of serious necessity. Breast-feeding is not recommended, while treated with Rizatriptan, as it is not known, if it�s excreted in human milk.
